  • I went to Shaun's site and read the incredible journey he took and recorded, if you miss this then you have missed allot. Incredible pictures! If I could I would do the same thing. Bush pilots forever!

  • rip

  • I've been reading a lot about Shaun and enjoying his pictures. I've never met Shaun, but he inspires me to be a better person and man of God. What a beautiful life.

  • @lavakava if every pilot fallowed that. there would be many people in Alaska and other rural areas with out supplies and going hungry. without Cub Drivers and other skilled pilots many people would be without. It's a shame Shaun past away. Though honestly I think it's a bit rude to make a post telling someone who they should fly on a memorial video.

  • What a good guy. I miss him.

  • classic moose stall killed him

  • what happend to shaun?!

  • General aviation flights can be as safe as commercial flying if the pilot treats every flight as a professional flight - i.e. high altitude, travel intended flights with constant weather monitoring and plenty of fuel in a well-maintained airplane.

If you want to fly to see birds or whales, then get a helicopter.

Remember: NEVER run out of AIRSPEED, ALTITUDE and IDEAS at the same time! - Rod Machado

  • i am sure he was a good man and professional pilot. however, this is yet another clear example of why maneuver flights and IFR flights are risky.

Many people have died due to stall spin accidents by doing maneuvers at low airspeed below TPA. I had a friend who recently died due to making a sudden turn requested by airtraffic controller as he was taking off, causing the plane to stall and spin with no chance of recovery. (ATC's partial fault here to inform turn at last minute).

  • If only we can make the decision to do as well. Thats really all it takes. Decide.
