Kol Nidrei, OP. 47. Bruch. Part 2. Pau Casals and The London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Landon Ronald. HMV D.B.3063.

The record is played on an early nineteen-thirties EMG Xb Oversize all acoustic wind-up gramophone with final horn diameter of 33 1/2 inches. This particular horn has been newly constructed in aluminium, as original (lower swan-neck section) with glass-fibre bell attached and is identical to the now extremely rare originals which utilised bells made from papier appliqué. The four spring soundbox holds a Burmese thorn needle, thus safeguarding the record from wear. EMG Gramophones were and are considered to be the finest acoustic gramophones ever made. They were constructed in London in the nineteen-twenties and thirties.
