Why would someone exclaim such a thing?

I think a lot of people think that feminism has lost the ability to consider it's own will to power. I don't know why that sentiment is limited to their critique of feminism, and isn't typically applied to other institutions, but I suspect it has to do with cynicism. Most people know (in the US anyway), that there is a benefit to being reactionary. You can win social approval, regardless of your true ideas, so they just do that to get on board with the "winners". It's herd behavior.

Gen y may hate feminism cuz they saw the damage of their parents working all the time, divorcing, sleeping around. They see older women single, childless, and lonley and realize many fems are lesbians, who dont care about what straight women want. They see women paying lip service to careers, but find themselves craving old fahsioned marriage. They see that sexual freedom may mean sexual slavery and a way for men to avoid commitment due to the sexually "free" women available.

Feminism only focuses on women's issues. This is why it's not about equality. It's almost insulting that males are the largest population to suffer from violence and premature death but feminists only seem to care about male on female violence. The focus on breast cancer research for the benefit of women but nothing for prostate cancer for men. It's disturbing how gynocentric our society has become. I support the MRM because I have this radical idea that men are people too!

@kaybee1702 - Women don't deserve respect for simply being a woman either. You say it's a fight for equality but it seems more like a fight for supremacy. "White power" was a saying by whites who saw themselves as superior to blacks. Today we see "Girl power" signs all over the place. I don't see how we can achieve equality by promoting one gender while neglecting the other. All have to be treated equally across the board to achieve equality. Feminism has become a female supremacist movement.

@Albacorewing - The problem with guys not marry girls is this - the government is feminist driven by a bunch of manginas who will see to it that you end up paying women one way or the other - probably with some form of taxes paid to women. They say the US marriage rate is only 50% right now, down from 83% in 1965. Our divorce rate is at 70% among that 50% marriage rate. So only 15 - 25% of marriages work out. That's an 80% drop in less than 100 years. Thanks for ruining families feminism!

I am male and do NOT hate feminism. I think it is AMAZING, and what I find sad and lame is all these girls who start going all fundementalist anti- feminism and anti- female, and who say they agree with all these retarded anti- feminist and anti- female men.

Why do I hate Feminists?

Because they're assholes! They say they support equality when they turn the other way when men are victims. They are so prejudice, especially with the chips on their shoulders, it is no wonder why so many Feminists are lesbians. Every Feminist I have met was a nutcase. They expect everyone to take them seriously when they talk the talk but don't walk the walk. I have nothing against women having equality, but I will not put up with women who lack open-minds.
