Interesting discussion ... about the war almost about 400 yrs ago! The important year is 1631 when Swedish troops won Germans close to Liepzig (Breitenfelt). The battle of Finland was a bit diffrent story.... 1734 in Turku Treaty (Turun Rauha), the frontier was in the river Kymi, the western branch. On 1809 in Hamina Peace, Russia took over rest of Finnish area from Sweden. I think then Finland started to suck, but after 1917 that ended!!! :-)

@LordOfVeil calm dow,we all know ur country started to suck after 1808

@darnjack0roll You make no sense. Me being or not being an ultranationalist has nothing to do with this.

@darnjack0roll Sweden did wage war succesfully after losing Finland. Yes, Sweden's strength was overall greatly reduced after losing Finland. Case closed.
-
@keisar11 Sverige var lika mäktiga då som U.S.A är nu.

@LordOfVeil oh yeah?! u just tryed to conguer denmark, but even in that u lost, admit it,sweden started to suck at wars after losing finland
-
@darnjack0roll Oh dear. You're putting your country to shame with such behavior. My country, that is.
"Hackapelite" is an unofficial, foreign 1600's concept of a cavalryman in Sweden's military, resulting from the large number of Finnish-speakers among said troops (from southern Finland). It's entirely tied to said era. Sweden did have wars after losing the area of Finland. The later reluctance to wage war didn't result from lacking "hackapelites", or any other specific soldiery from Finland.
