Murder Trial for Teen Accused of Shooting and Killing a Michigan Woman

PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) -" A second trial has started for a teenager accused of shooting a woman outside a suburban Detroit restaurant.
Jury selection began Monday for 16-year-old Jerome Hamilton. The Southfield teen faces open murder and other charges in the Oct. 15, 2008, shooting of 21-year-old Catherine Solinski-Blain of Waterford Township.
Her body was found in her car in Lathrup Village outside the Rib Rack restaurant, where she worked as night manager.
A jury previously deadlocked on a verdict for Hamilton. Oakland County Circuit Judge Leo Bowman declared a mistrial.
The Oakland Press says defense attorney Mitchell Ribitwer has argued a key prosecution witness is untrustworthy and only testified against Hamilton to save himself in a plea deal." Fox News source
