You get 5 stars just for using the song. Other than that, pretty good video.

What kind of tweaks... Please post :)

@goldragon988 it can do 1080p, but i prefer sticking to 720p for a better experience. In some instances, 1080p can lag a bit behind. For 720p movies with DXVA I usually get somewhere between 5 and 6 hours, with brightness reduced and wireless off.

First thing I disabled Aero and in performance settings I let just Visual Styles enabled, to clear as much memory as possible. And most importantly, I sused media player classic and the latest drivers, in order benefit form DXVA.

@EnderWiggin78 What tweaks..can you specify? I have the same notebook but 2 Gb of RAM...it barely runs 720p...well it runs ok but with no subtitles...as soon as i add subtitles it goes really blocky...please reply...

I'm planning on buying this for watching videos while flying. Can you watch HD 1080p on this and how does it affect battery life? What is the approximate battery life I can expect if I'm watching HD and DVD quality movies?
Are you using the k-lite codec pack?
Windows 7 work fine with the asus 1101ha?
What is the average battery life you get with it?

@jim82jim no klite or other such salads. Media Player Classic Home Cinema. All codecs and DXVA compatibility included. Saves on Windows registry clutter as well.
I have since then swapped the memory to a 2GB stick and the battery has some wear and tear. If just browsing, i have no idea, It seems to last forever and I usually return home. For HD moveis, about 2 feature films. I estimate around 5-6 hours with no WiFi and low brightness.

Does HW acceleration work also for mkv files?

@Esiiczko Actually, that was an MKV file fragment
