In a speech that drew controversy from some conservatives, President Barack Obama urged students to take their education seriously. The AP's Julie Pace reports on the president's back-to-school message. (Sept. 8)

I'm glad the President is encouraging kids to stay in school. I don't see in any problem with that. I have children and they need all the encouragement they can get.

The lesson plans were already released over a week earlier & they were about globalization & full of excercises about how kids can help their President achieve his goals & how they can spread his message. DOE had to publicly apologize for "poor choice of words" & reccomend revisions.

Then the speech was released so that is why it seems it was changed.

His campaign site HEAVILY encourages kids to convince adults of Obama's greatness & email in what the adults are thinking politically.
