A few leg workouts you can do with the Myosource Kinetic Bands. Notice that all of the workouts involve the hip flexor muscles. This muscle group is essential for speed and quickness.

These workoouts can be done as a separate workout or as supplemental exercises to your workout. I refer to them as dynamic because they involve the movement of more than two joints in the body rather than two or less.

  • hey,,,,,thats a bad ass video.thumbs up...

  • @astarothsharp

    Thank you very much.

  • @youngballer480

For starters, plyometrics for the lower body, especially bounding. One position specific exericise would be setting up a plyo-box with 5 to 10 yards of room to sprint. Start at the top of the box, jump down and burst out as soon as you land. Try doing this with and without the ball in your hands and remember to alternate sides. Also, do bodyweight exercises.

If you're talking top end speed, work on stride and mechanics. As your explosion increases so will your speed.

  • Very nice video. The exercises which you have shown will help me in my high jumping success greatly. Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much. I've seen some of your vids. You can fly!

  • Very good exercises ... you are very strong. Can these workout help me if I am basketball player?

  • @ljubeyea

Thank you for your words. These can definitely help you in basketball. I would also add lateral movements to training. Things like side lunges, bell jumps, quick shuffles, etc. and of course, the usual explosion with the ball.

  • How can I increase Explosiveness and Speed for Football? I am a running back

  • @playableproductions

Thanks for the question. I'm actually a defensive lineman. The stance is similar to that of a sprinter, but not exact. These would definitely be a great part of a jump workout routine, but they should not be the only thing you do.

  • are you a sprinter? also would these be good for jumping?
