Great lesson, but the autofocus on your camera was a bit annoying.

I think it's because I need a lot of light and such. I didn't have time to mess with it a whole lot. Sorry about that, I hope to have that resolved soon.

I think part of it is that the camera is trying to find the "right" focal depth, and it's getting confused. When the foreground gets fuzzy (e.g. when strings vibrate), it tries to refocus and ends up focusing on the shelves in the background. I'm not sure more light will help. My quick advice: wear a t-shirt with a visible pattern (solid black seems to cause the most problems), and drape a sheet (solid color, ideally) over the shelves.
