Im really getting into this history documentary dramatization, fascinating. I know the bomb was just a few feet from that monster and it was the table that saved Hitler, as Ive seen another history program last 2 years ago.

hind sights always 20-20. They didn't have internet to research where Hitler's going to be. Everything was by word of mouth for fear of messages being intercepted. Also Hitler was constantly accompanied by a large security detail w/ extremely limited access. We're talking about killing Hitler, you better be damn sure it's gonna work before you do it.

I would like to know why they only tried to kill hitler 9 months befor the end? Of course they didn't know the exact time the regime would last but the conspitators and high ranks of the 3 reich felt that they were going towards their defeat. Any way why it took stauffemberg so long? Was it for strategic reasons ..i appreciate if someone knows in more details about it.
