  • I swear I saw this dude on tour with the faceless like...4 or 5 years ago. Tall Skinny dude with long hair who played insanely fast, traditional grip and axis pedals....ARE YOU THE DUDE I THINK YOU ARE? if not...i may have found your doppelganger...but not a ghostly counterpart...well maybe

  • @musicisthemessage Haha yeah same guy duder, that was me. Check out my page for newer videos.Cheers

  • are you related to adam pierce?

  • @pricesmithmusic Tomas Haake

  • @blastbeatshaman Lol I appreciate the comment. You really are a good drummer, you should come to Berklee! It's fun :P

  • @pricesmithmusic First I dont see why anyone is trying to compare me to Bonham, he owns me and most every other drummer regardless of genre or era. Second, speed IS NOT everything and does have applications in every genre when used tastefully. And I do believe metal these days has incorporated ALOT of other genres and styles quite well into the mix. BTBAM for example. Otherwise everyone who commented about groove needs to watch my newest videos to make solid judgements, this vid is shit IMO

  • @Tyme2Die I don't understand why would that mean I don't know what I'm talking about.. so please explain.

What I meant by that comment was that metal drumming does not translate well to other areas of drumming.

The reason I say that to him is because his other improv videos are pretty much the same, heavy hitting and no groove

My original intention of commenting is to give my 2 cents... that being, why would you compare a classic rock drummer with a modern metal drummer? "apples and oranges"

  • @MisterJohnny2887 he didn't because he never had a reason to. He didn't play metal, that kind of drumming wasn't really around and he had no reason to practice it.

if you were defending nick on terms other than chops it would be one thing, but 1 chops can easily be improved, 2 chops < taste (not saying he's not a tasteful metal drummer)...

basically watch your apples and oranges man. :)
