i'm conflicted on whether to build the philsboat or the scram pram... thank you for posting these videos- I have yet to see vids of the scram pram, but your boat seems to slip thru the water very nicely.

Definitely the boat for a cheap skate old fart like me. I like home made stuff. Thanks for posting. Could it be carried on a pickup somehow.

The cabin feature looks very smart, getting wet or baking in the sun is not as much fun as i get older , does the cabin work out for you?

I think a pickup deck would be too high. I carry mine on a wooden dolly on a flat deck tip trailer originally built for a hovercraft. It's deck is 18 inches above the ground and even that method of launching is just a plain hassle. I really wish I had bought a second hand boat trailer instead of the flat deck so I could directly launch into the water.

The cabin is very good. In colder climes where I usually sail, wet weather gear is never required, just a wind breaker, because when beating the slot is continuously ventilated by wind coming down the sail. Also it's great for sleeping in with a polytarp cover drawn over the slot.
