Sugata Hazra says sea level rise is causing loss of land, increased cyclone intensity and bigger storm surges in the Sunderbans islands south of Calcutta, India. Hazra says these changes, which have even caused some islands to disappear below the sea, are creating environmental refugees. Hazra is a professor of oceanography at Jadavpur University in Calcutta, India. This video was shot in November, 2008 by Daniel Grossman.
