BBR&EJF = The Annual Blind Boone Ragtime & Early Jazz Festival

Tune Title: "Mississippi Rag" ~ composed by composer William H. Krell, was published in 1897 and was the very first 'true' rag, a delightful two-step dance.

Piano wizards Tom Brier & Adam Swanson creating some pianistic fireworks at the very end of the Afterglow party after midnight at about 2:30 AM Friday morning. The audience was down to only two or three people since most every one else had already gone to bed. So, along with these two fantastic die hard piano players, Judy and I couldn't give up until the very end of this amazing jam session!
It was just too delicious!

The Annual Blind Boone Ragtime & Early Jazz Festival has been happening since back in the mid 1990's and is a wonderful way to spend a few days in early June. The music is fabulous and the performers are all top notch folks!

Yes, you are correct. This is absolutely FABULOUS music!

This video should have two or three million views by now.

Feel free to publicize it any way you know how.

    Thanks,

  • So is Adam Swanson a pupil of Tom Brier or something?

    Thanks for the nice catch!

  • @greob

I have no idea about any kind of formal student/pupil relationship, but I do know that these guys pick up tricks from each other on a regular basis when they get together at music festivals of other events. Aren't they fun! I caught them playing on a pair of grand pianos at the end of the West Coast Ragtime Festival two years ago and posted some of those on my channel. search terms "wcrf 2008 afterglow" and you'll pull them up.

    Thanks for watching.

  • @CFB5Cats2Harps

This is one of my favorite rags. I suggested it and they both said yes, and I turned on my Camera el quicko!
