@rickcain2320 I am in no way disagreeing with you. Nuclear power is not the way forward, and I support green energy. My point is simply that it has to be placed correctly. I'm all for wind farms either off shore, or on brownfield land, but why destory the few truly beautiful areas of countryside that we have left when there are other, more suitible areas for them to be erected? Listen again and you will see that not once do the lyrics speak against wind energy, nor do they support nuclear power.

The world over not a single fossil fuel plant has been decommissioned because of wind turbines. Because wind blows intermittently, utilities must keep their conventional power plants running all the time to make sure the lights don’t go dark, or continually ramp up and down the output from conventional coal-or gas-fired generators (called “cycling”). But coal-fired and gas-fired generators are designed to run continuously, and if they don’t, fuel consumption and emissions generally increase!

Thank you for persevering against a forced agenda green or otherwise.

Trying to disagree with the Greenies is as useless as arguing with fuckhead pro-lifers since rational viewpoints are ignored and their frantic push for everything green supersedes all things sensible.

I hope your community can adequately resolve these matters and will determine if these windmills are worthy and either improve, relocate or dump them if they fail to liveup to their (typically) inflated promises.

This is a great song. We can do more with conservation and energy efficiency than we can ever do with wind turbines. It is a scam and waste of tax payer money!
