@Mihuz I few weeks ago I met a friend who I had Not seen in a while. When we were a younger he had no will power, no morals and could not think for himself. Now he is a captain with the british army. I could not believe the difference. So, I was wrong.
Does not your moral affect how people listen to you and how they react to you which is clearly different from person to person which would make that some leaders are born with the ability to make people listen to you better than others who doesnt have a high moral? This concludes that people do get born to be leaders but also they learn how to exert leadership during their childhood while experiencing vast amounts of hardships which will make them a good leader.
Leaders are those who succeed in making people to believe something, right or wrong, and making them materialize that thought through work and also indirectly compel his listeners to propagate that ideology, and that ideology shall bear the name of the leader for ever and ever. When we talk of Gandhi, we talk of peace, and when we talk of Hitler, well, u might guess it yourself...
@mrrossjonathan Acutally he wasn't a leader at all. I'm a leader, when I look at my neighbors I see potential allies, Hitler sees men whom he needs to conquer!
Leadership does have a partial disposition basis (Judge, Illie, & Bono, 2002). Thousand's of studies have demonstrated that people who are more emotionally composed, dominant/assertive, prudent, and open to experience are more likely to emerge and remain an effective leader. Also, studies of identical twins have shown that up to a third is due to a genetic factor (Arvey et al., 2006). That being said, in-born qualities only emerge as a result of learning. Leadership can be taught.
