oh yeah i totally agree with you on that title change. But even though this isn't full-on augmented reality, i consider it to be augmented reality in its earliest steps because this type of software technology can apply to "real time" interactivity as well. But this is just my opinion.

@dimmub69 Since you are not even displaying things in realtime on top of the camera, it is not showing "reality", it is showing a photograph. This is a nice demo of face recognition technology, so I'm not saying it is bad, I'm just saying that you should rename this as something like "Social Networking Face Recognition Demo", because this is more accurate.

The way it is concidered augmente reality is beacause there is a bridge from your perception through your phone to the real world person using technology. This is augmenting reality with technology.

with this kind of software you can look at someone in crowd and get their personal information and anyone can do the same thing to you. something to think about.
