Let me get this straight:

It's a printer, that can print almost everything, including copies of itself, and there are plans for a version that also prints circuits, metal nad other materials.

With this, anyone would be able to print anything at home, at the cost of material and electricity.

You just destroyed the world wide economy, and the capitalist system.

@pureawesomeness2012 good thing there is such thing as law of accelerating returns, and soon we'll end up with 3d printers as cheap as 2d printers, but much more useful. And, of course, once it becomes possible to print printers, the whole concept of buying stuff with money becomes pointless.

Not quite. First of all, it doesn't prototype many real electronics sufficiently well for the electronics to function. Secondly, many of the metal products we use require temperature and/or pressure that the machine can't apply. Thirdly, it's a bitch to clean.

However, it is great for printing plastic models if you don't mind the cleanup.
