Not a problem--I've also standardized on AA's, but could not pass up the deal for the orbit when it came ($19 after a double 'special") I'll take both my Orbit and Apollo on backpacking trips now--I'm willing to put up with another few oz for the benefits of the little lamp. The Apollo takes 4 AA's. the Titan takes 4 D's....way to heavy for packing.....

  • @Zuluup: Thanks for the response. I didn't realize I made a type-o and typed AA instead of AAA. All the battery operated devices in my kit use the same type of battery, AA. Logistics keeps my kit more efficient. I agree about the Glo-Toob though. It has 15 modes and they could eliminate many of them and replace them with different brightness levels instead. I wish they made the Apollo to use AA.
