@hondata70 VTEC is standard on all civics, they just don't make any mention of it except on the more 'premium' models. The engine on the 8th Generation (2006-2011) Civics are all the same (R-series) and utilize i-VTEC.

Thanks. I was actually dividing my mileage by 13 because on the Honda website it said that the Civic had a 13 Gallon tank. Turns out I pump only 10 gallons. So at around 350miles per tank I get about 35mpg average. Awesome car.

@factionxvt408x i work at a honda dealership. most people come in with the same question. usually we say to check your tire pressure and make sure they are at the fullest specified amount

The car is soooo sweet. It's soooo much fun to drive..i fucking love it...but the only thing holding me back from buying it is the horsepower. I'ts only 140 hp. That's weak.

What are you getting out of it? I just got one and i'm only getting 22 MPG. I'm a VERY conservative drive and use hypermiling techniques. But Getting 22! I run a lot of expressways and don't make a lot of stops from my starting point to my destination. Do you know what could be the problem? Could it be me?
