These are test animations I did in the summer of 1979 or maybe 1980. I shot as usual in super 8 kodakchrome 40 film. The puppet was very small with a steel wire armature and built up in foam. The 35 mm slide backgrounds are projected on a paper rear screen.

  • love it!!! Were you using a slide projector?

  • @muerte62 Tim's work does indeed carry the Harryhausen gene in them. Ray is very much still going although he doesn't do much filming these days being over 90 years old.. I hear he has a mention in the credits of the new Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage film.

  • Ah. more delightful SF animation from the early 80s. Oh the memories, if only I could find where I stored my old super 8 movies and get them transfered. Keep em coming.

  • Harryhausen lives! And you even did back projection. Delightful.

  • Blue Cyclops looks funny XD

He's just walking about and admiring the world around him.
