Ok you can use about half a bottle of vinegar in the water then go straight to pure water. You will see the effect straight away ;D

Or for those who do not have a backpack just use a bucket ( with vinegar ) and a mop to wet up the window..

As for how long the glass stays that way, I'm not too sure but the windows that I have changed over are still more water loving then before...

do you have to use the vinegar trick every time you wash the windows or just prewash once then rince off with pure water ?

ive tried dishwasher rince aid which works most of the time but if its warm n windy the water dies to quickly i guess and left residue then!

isnt the idea of a pure water system that you dont add anythink to it, its just pure?

i allways use a few drops of clear vinegar when doing wfp ( about a teaspoon )

Now the vinegar secret's out, I must admit it works, I tried it neat, applied by traditional applicator, then pure water, only on 'problem' windows, spotty glass that refuses to come clean- be honest we've all had them. Good tip adders!
