I am offering this tutorial (pattern + instructional videos) for FREE! This is a traditional pattern, not my own design, that has been used for generations. I am presenting this for beginning knitters who would like to learn this technique, and to give a free sample of my video tutorials.

Free pattern download is available here:

  • do you have a video of increasing and decreasing? i am kinda getting confused..Oh, and how it look like if you made 1 row of increasing or decreasing. Mine looks really different. Please give me a link.

  • @BubblePopMystery Yes - I have videos on all of the basic increasing and decreasing stitches. You can go to my channel page and search (sorry, YouTube won't let me link from the comments). The links to what you'll need for this pattern are also available as links in the free downloadable PDF pattern. Just follow the link in the video description below the video.

  • is it possible to knit multiple dish cloths together and create a blanket?

  • @veronikamars23 Yes - or you can just make a really giant "dishcloth" by continuing to increase to make a square blanket.

  • How do you cast on????

  • @sscourtin1982 At 2:02 in the video, I give you a link to my video showing the long tail cast-on, which is what I used for the dishcloth. Hope that helps!

  • I just want to thank you for your wonderful and clear videos! I've taught myself to knit for the first time (like an hour ago, haha) using this video and the included links to your other videos of knitting basics. I know how to crochet, but before today I have literally never held a pair of knitting needles. I've already completed a tiny (albeit a bit lopsided due to my mistakes in decreasing) dishcloth. Thank you! :D

  • Love it!

  • i love these videos

  • AMAZING I love it... you explained it so well thank you very much
