smh, did he really say if larry bird would have played with shaq he would have 8 rings?? Bird couldnt stay healthy long enough 2 see 5 rings so 8 is a joke. i'm not saying hes not a good player but honestly we all know hes not better than jordan and kobe in this day and age is the next best thing to mj and in one on one match up i would pick kobe 5 out of 5 times.

@flipgood89 lol, one of those raw deals aint it?

@flipgood89 I condone nothing bad that Bird's done and I won't. There are more blacks in the NBA, so there will be more criticism. It goes with the territory. I find it hard to feel sorry for any of them. Criticism and any "conspiracy" against players can be avoided by their simply not making poor choices. Lot's of players keep their nose clean.

@GETole ....oh, so he just had one kid of out wedlock that he barely acknowledges. Oh wow, what an asshole I am. As far as me being a hater, all I am doing is recognizing that the same traits that people either ignore or celebrate about Larry Bird, have been characterized as negative traits for players of color. Black players who have been physically aggressive, shit talkers, and demanded the ball have almost all, uniformly, been labeled as thugs and selfish.
-
@flipgood89 It was one kid and the taxpayer didn't have to pay for it. The rest of what you said is simply a hater looking for a reason to hate.
-
Good thing Larry Bird wasnt black, cause having children out of wedlock, demanding his touches, fighting on the court, and talking shit might have earned him the label of being a "selfish thug", rather than being one of the most celebrated players of all time.

...Rajon Rondo Dislocated Elbow May 7, 2011 go watch that on U Tube and tell me if KoBitch would have come back into the game...
-
When Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo dislocated his elbow in Game 3 against the Heat and returned to play the fourth quarter, it was nearly impossible not to be impressed. Rondo's elbow was bending the wrong direction, he was in immense amounts of pain, yet he returned 10 minutes later to finish up the game with only one good arm. Kobitch...LOL

@geocgeo Bird missed some games in 1987 until his retirement....whats your point?? Your missing the point of fighting through pain and just missing games buddy. Some players have the misfortune of having injuries consistently...you can't out a player because of the injuries he suffers. Its the mindset of the player and how he deals with it. Thanks for your laugh...smh at you

@MrJtotheohnnn Kobe missed some games in 1997,1998,2000,2001,2002,2004,
2005.2006.2007 and 2010..Anything else?...LOL
...CONTD: and so bird being more efficient he wins...oh and bird is all time 84th D rating to kobe's 241st..Kobe is good, I'd put him above Julius Erving and George Gervin...but I have him in my top 15 but not top 6 best players ever like Bird.

@koalalauncher Talent-wise, I think I'd have to go with Jordan. But as far as best all-around basketball player with the highest IQ, I really don't think it's even close. It's Bird -- and I'm a Jordan fan.
