I'm with clairebug, he needs a little more work with his vocals for a song like this. It's not bad, but he does come off as yelling moreso than singing here and there.
Cut him a break. This was a live performance, one of mroe than a dozen songs that night. His voice was tired. Listen to it on the TIME OUT CD and you'll forget you heard this one. I just don't think there needs to be so much discussion about it.
