  • why do u do slow moments ?

  • @emocional90 I do slower movements so I can concentrate on my chi. In competition tai chi, I would be moving a little faster. Thanks for your question.

  • yang is the male or the female?

  • I'm 53 years old and just started learning Tai Chi on my own using lessons from the internet and youtube videos. I find you posterior view the most helpful!

    I would like to make a small request. Is it possible for you to place captions on your video so that each of the 24 forms can be identified? Knowing the names of the forms will make memorizing the sequences much easier. Thank you so much, Dr. Pauline.

  • Thank you,I am using your video for revision.SKIF Karate is taught this form of Tai Chi by Kancho Kanazawa the Karate Master who also has been doing Taichi for over 35 years.Thank you for posting.You make it look so easy.I wish I was in your country to learn it from you.

  • Wow you have such pretty hair!!! I love the way you do the form very beautiful. I could watch you all day!!

  • Slow movement is great to well integrate body, mind and chi together. I do the same way too when I practice my Tai Chi. I feel the integration of mother nature and my body/mind when play even slower. I sometimes enter a feeling of time and outside world are freeze. That feeling is good but you can't have it every time. Only when your mind is calm down fully. Please comment to my Tai Chi video. I focus more body and mind integration. Search youtube for "Jeff Tseng 2011"

  • @emocional90,

    When you perform 24 Form, usually it takes between 5-7 minutes which are considered regular speed. If you do it within 2 minutes, then you do a FAST set which is NOT intended for Simplified version of 24 form. Learn Shaolin Kungfu if you prefer a Fast set. Taichi is much better performs in gentle, slow motion, that way you can watch your breathing, postures, motion and integrate into a single form. Be one with the movement. I hope it answers your question.

  • @pribadi8406 that stilll no quiet anws my question since my forms are completed in 2 minutes the most or it can be done in 1 minute

  • @emocional90 ;

    DrPaulineBao's movements are NOT slow or Fast because she performed it within 5-7 minutes which is considered as REGULAR speed. What is slow? I did this 24 form routine in 15 minutes. BUT I also use this music while playing 24 form with my students, same speed, but my shifu complained I still performed it too fast. So this is perfect speed. For competition, it should be done within 5 minutes :-).
