....Ron Paul DID run for president, and for quite awhile, even after he knew the media wasn't treating his campaign as serious, even after he was raising way more money than other candidates.
-
If Ron Paul was the best option he would be running. Dont think for one second that if he were running they would be attacking him just like they attack Obama. Vote for who will help you and your life best in this country. Or better yet, just dont vote.

If you read back you will see I said "so" - do not be "so" concerned with McCain's methods as you should be with the policy that he plans on implementing, which I find reason enough not to vote for him (doubly so for his opponent). I would say his derelict interests overshadow the deficiencies in his abilities or qualifications.

You should not be concerned with his methods?!
The President is an administrator. That means he has to adminstrate, execute policies and provide an agenda.
Does he have ANY skill at doing that? Look at the campaign he is administrating. Does he have skill?

You should not be so concerned with McCain's methods, but rather his stance on the issues. The same for any candidate. The most undoubtedly consistent and honest of any of the ones on the stage in the last year was Ron Paul.

...Under a McCain or Obama -like administration such men will persist, and others like them will be born out of the adversity. But if they vote for either, the betrayal of their conscience will be far more detrimental to them than the consequences of their leadership.

The responsible righteous few, who exercise proper restraint and discernment, only need the government to keep the rest in check. They will persevere even if the leadership that the latter elects do not defend their liberties, but their spirits will wither and dissolve if they vote realistically rather than ideally...

Not quite sure how that relates but I agree, and I think it's a good thing. True certainty is often a dangerous thing, which is why the founding fathers allowed amendments, as you were mentioning. The problem is people seem drawn to this odd certainty in candidates that prevents them from admitting they might be wrong, or might have made a mistake (think Iraq). Flip flopping is bad too, and the fact that McCain does both worries be and the pattern in his voting record only makes the worry worse.
Well Ron paul doesn't have a chance so I'm going with the lesser of the two evils
OBAMA/BIDEN-2008
Maybe Ron paul will become apart of the Obama team.

The Black vote has always gone to democrat's with minimum 80 percent each General Election. In this election, they are alittle more enthusiastic so we might see 90% support or more. Previously we have seen high 80's.
There have been several black candidates who have run, Al sharpton, Jesse Jackson. There also some black candidates running right now as independents. All of them have one thing in COmmon. They are no Barack Obama.
That's the difference in this election. Barack Obama is the man
