LEGO TGV and ICE 3 high speed crash on double track 9V train layout

My LEGO 9V TGV and ICE 3 train models were speeding around double track long curves layout, but then the operator of the crossover switch made a small mistake and caused a big crash. ;-) No minifigs were harmed in making this video. Thanks and enjoy!

Have you tried to put your TGV and ICE3 on the same track?

Yes, but this gets complicated very quickly, as the control point is common to both trains and they travel at different speeds due to their different weights. I am considering converting one of them to the LEGO Power Functions system though, which would allow for easier control with multiple trains on one track.
