Hmm, I can never get a bump style on my hair, but I have thin hair so maybe I might need to try a little more than you do... What do you suggest I do for the bump part?

I think maybe you could tease your hair, so take the front section and brush down lightly towards the roots and then spray with hairspray. It might work better if you make sure you take quite a think piece of hair and then seperate into say, 3 bits and tease and spray each part seperately. That should give you the volume and hold you need for the poof.

Do you have a strong part in your hair. I know that can make it difficult. I'm not sure what's happening but you could try teasing with a brush or comb rather than your fingers if it is the volume that you can't get or maybe some texturising spray or dry shampoo on the roots before you style to give it something to build on. x

so i ended up buying a rockabilly style dress for christmas...
