This video shows 3D computer visualisations created by the Digital Design Studio at Glasgow School of Art.
Paisley Fountain was laser scanned and then virtually painted to try out different colours before restoration work was carried out on the fountain itself.
The street scene is from the Glasgow Urban Model, a collaboration between DDS and Glasgow City Council. The first model of its kind in the UK, a large portion of central Glasgow was scanned and then textured with high-definition photographs to produce a photo-real urban model which can be used to visualise proposed new architecture or as the basis for modelling of city events, for example the flooding of the river. more detail at: http://www.glasgow.gov.uk/en/Business/Planning_Development/Heritage_design/th...
The final images are of the DDS digital model of Stirling Castle, produced in collaboration with Historic Scotland as the flagship project of the brand new Centre for Digital Documentation and Visualisation (http://cddv.co.uk/CDDV/Home.html).
The sound effects for this video were produced by The Dubbing Theatre, also based within the DDS.
