Her sound haunts me and no matter how many times I've heard it, the melody so full of love, still opens my heart. I was listening to this recording with a friend, today, and we were listening; really listening. Play it again, I said. And he did. Suddenly, as we listened, he began to cry. He is not a man who cries. But it's that kind of song, full of love and longing, and her singing it like that is what beauty is. Me, I never cry because I'm sad. But when I hear something beautiful I do.

The full 6 verse version is sung by Eva on the album Live at Pearl's. Shame though that she chnges the line 'to England where my heart lies' to 'to a land where my heart lies' Still a wonderful album and so good to hear her sing 'live'

This sounds almost too perfect. I prefer Paul Simons original uploaded by Aqualung1989. It has more of an edge to it and not so engineered.

@southernrockdrummer No way! :) It made me listen, but didn't take me to the space of the timeless like this one did. I think Shawn's voice is amazing, but she mixed up the original melody, with a little too much delay and talk/singing for me, but it was fun to hear.
