The first 25 mins or so of the radio adaptation of Len Deighton's wartime novel 'Bomber' based in 1943 on a fictional series of events surrounding men and women on both sides , but in particular on the crew of Lancaster O for Orange.
I do not own the audio recording (it belongs to the respective rights holders) but feel that it should be shared for all to hear to gain at least some sort of insight into the sacrifice made by the Men of Bomber Command during WW2.
Some of the images used are my own (taken @ IWM Hendon and the De Havilland museum , and also of some of my models), others are from google. Comments will be moderated - I am aware WW2 and the bomber command offensive is a thorny issue but I won't tolerate deliberatley inflammatory , racist or political views.
Please just enjoy what is a dramatic , moving, and at times incredibly sad story.Other parts will be uploaded soon.
The BBC radio Drama is enjoyable but tendentious: anyone reading the book itself will quickly realize that the story turns as more upon the abuse of class, rank and structural privilege that so often evades the spotlight, as it were, even in these politically correct times :-)

Yes, please could you upload some more of this very moving radio broadcast - very good quality audio. I too remember listening to this some years ago; it brings the full horror of war to the listener.
