  • awe! I wish my ggc lucy is like that, i'm still trying to tame her, which is going slowly but at least its going lol; cute bird :)

  • @2Cuzinz I wish Sonic was still that clingy. He's not like that anymore. We started working longer hours and was concerned that he would be lonely at home so we got him a friend, and the draw back to that is that he bcame less clingy with us =( oh well at least he has a friend throughout the day to keep him company.

  • Your conure is so sweet and adorable <3

  • Thank you! Yes he is very sweet. A few months back we got him a mate, another green cheek conure to entertain him while we were at to work, now he doesn't like to hang out with me anymore, he just wants to play with his playmate which makes me so sad =( but I guess its good for him to have a friend

  • aww yours is cute. is it a normal colored GCC? how old?

  • He has a little more color than a normal green cheek conure. Usually green cheeks do not have a maroon belly, but ours has yellow and marron on his belly. Sonic is about 1.5 years old and has a huge attitude for a little bird. We are actually thinking about getting a second one to keep him company =)

  • lol mine does that too!!

  • My Yellow sided green cheek is the same way she is always next to me I love it very caring birds I love them <3

  • Cute!

Jasper, my GCC also does that, but he's just as happy zooming around the house with his little pal, Charlie, a Canary-Winged 'keet.

You can see some vids of them & my previous birds by clicking my name, below.

  • cute

  • Mine does the same thing it's so cute!

  • @nana2226 I have the same issue, work for our family is taking away from time with out gcc. I can definitely notice a change in his attitude and I need to fix it quickly before he becomes a mad bird. Do you know how birds respond to "new friends" if they are used to being on their own? My gcc is 8 years old

  • Aaaw how old was he in this video?

  • Mine is the same way, I have a girl pineapple conure, and we do everything together, go to the shops, take showers together, bake together, and share our food together lol...she even sleeps with me :) We are often cuddled up together under the doona, her buried under my neck sound asleep

  • Haha mine is the same way. We watch TV together but he thinks he has to be up against my face. :)

  • Thank you for getting your bird a friend. Birds are extremely social and they get terribly lonely when left alone all day. For those who have needy birds, please spend more time with them, gently interacting and playing with them every day. They desperately need attention and a little daily, positive interaction will go a long way. You will discover that these "clingy" birds are less clingy throughout the day when you spend quality time with them. Happy birds are less needy .
