  • can you suggest a Tech class study guide?

  • APRS: Automated PACKET Reporting System! Capable of more than just Position reporting. Enjoyable show!

  • I've been doing disaster response all over the country since Andrew in 1992, and one of the biggest problems we face in large events is communications issues. Ham radio operators have always been a great asset for us.

  • @MattTheComputerGeek Matt Good luck in getting your license. Amateur radio is a lot of fun, and there are so many different aspects to it that it is almost impossible to get bored. DXing, ragchewing, contesting, experimenting (homebrewing antennas, rigs etc.) public service (Skywarn, ARES, RACES, Hurricane Watch Net), different modes (FM, SSB, CW, dIgital modes like PSK).

  • I like this. very cool, i hop to have my license someday.
