Subdiaconal Ordination (1 of 5)

Part of my ordination as a subdeacon on Saturday the 7th (20th N/S) of March, 2010, (the Saturday of the Akathist Hymn to the Mother of God), at the ROCOR cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in London. The rite was simplified as there was a shortage of servers at the Liturgy, (and actually only a few people present in the congregation and choir by comparison to usual numbers), and I was required to serve rather than perform some of the functions assigned to a new subdeacon. However, it was a beautiful occasion and a very special one for me, even if there was some difference of opinion over who ought to wash Vladyka's hands. ;-)
