A Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco HH-65 dolphin helicopter flight crew deployed to Corpus Christi, Texas, here today to provide assistance during Hurricane Ike. In addition, a C-130 fixed wing aircraft and flight crew, from Air Station Sacramento, and a HH-65 dolphin helicopter flight crew, from Air Station Humboldt Bay, was sent to provide back-up assistance during the hurricane. @mrjimbeam2009 Well, that's good, but what i say is true, if you have to drown, make sure its not in the UK, chances are a Sea King helicopter is going to come and pick you up, and i am sure you would rather die!

@HMSDaring1 no country around the us has a useful coast guard so they have to do double duty for everything down to the equator

The US has got THE best Coast Guard, they have there own gunship helos to chase and stop boats/ships;here in Britain we have a couple of crummy Land Roves and a few shitty RAF Sea Kings but we have the very best rescue hips,the RNLI vessels are unbeatable, thats just about it,a couple of crummy old helicopters,a few old cars, the RNLI isn't even under HM Coast Guard,the British Government need to make a coast Guard just as good as the US have! Sometimes i wish i was PM of the UK!
