Springtime is pure magic at Applewood Hollow and the surrounding neighbourhood. In early March carpets of snowdrops miraculously break through the ice and snow. Every year the baltimore orioles arrive just as the blossoms on our wild cherry tree burst open, their favourite place to feed ( and entertain my guests !) When Four Mile Creek overflows its banks we have actually seen salmon swimming through the forest behind our home. Daffodils planted by the Servos family in the 1800's still grace the old homestead site in April and May.
