You musn't be shy with entering the sanctuary. I don't mean to be blunt, but you each seem want to see the Holy mystery, but there is something you may not be able to grasp. I encourage you to attend a Holy Week service, especially on Holy Thursday, Friday, and Pascha. It is an experience that transcends.

@Winaska by We have scripture today and protestants do eat the bread and drink the wine. however as to them become magically the real body and blood of Christ....well there just isn't enough space here to enter such a debate. God is much bigger then your or my denomination or worship style. we are saved through the blood of Jesus Christ and through faith. peace to you.

@zebb1111 yes and because of that Gospel so well proclaimed these ORTHODOX christians have accepted the true doctrines of the One True Faith the Real presence of the Body and Blood Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. not a symbol, not a meal, but actually following the gospel's command to eat hHis Flesh and drink His Blood

a most complete and total exposition of the gospel that when properly understood, assures the believers recieve the word of God in their hearts. not all countries are blessed to have the bible translated for them. the liturgy was the way for thousands of years...Praise the Lord.
