The presedent hosts the roots home coming festival in may of every year.but there is also what we call in our tribe futampaf same as this but more intense but happens in different villages in gambia once every few years but it gets announce a few months or a year b4 it takes place.

When was this and when is the next Gambian Festival going to take place? I really would like to come from Sweden and see this, I love the country and I hope to be back next season.

It was in May 2006, I think. Maybe I can find out the exact date, but sorry, I can´t tell you when it will take place again.
But keep on trying to see this! It is a real experience. Enjoy!
