  • The incredible thing about Ms. Carr is that she sounds just as great (even greater) now as she did way back then. Her rendition of this song is so wonderful. Thank God it has been preserved on video for us fans to love and enjoy. Thank you for uploading it! Good job!

  • I don't think it's really fair to say she had to "resort" to the Latin market -- it's not like having success singing in Spanish (her parents' native language) is any less important/meaningful than singing in English!

  • Who cares where she came from? I'm too pleased that she did!

  • Florencia Bisenta de Casillas Martinez Cardona is the birth name of Vicki Carr always and ever amazing in both languages.

  • @Specialdark23 Brown-eyed soul. She is Mexican-American.

  • Marilyn Monroe version is better :-D

  • Blued eyed soul!

  • Dean was right!! This is the MAGIC of VIKKI CARR!

  • Dean Martin called her the best singer in the business. Very versatile!

  • Thank you yoryi1960 for all the wonderful Vikki posting. Yes, Vikki gets in done right the first time. Her voice is just as powerful now as it was in the 60's. The world has been blessed to hear Vikki sing in several languages. What a treasure! More Vikki, more Vikki, more Vikki!!!!

  • Yeah...it's been awhile since I read about it - I think it was a massive heart attack. There is a pic of him during the 'BullishTour', where he is clean shaven - without mustache, and he looked really good in that promo shot. I always felt he was a very under-rated drummer. He could play anything from jazz, latin, rock - you name it - and always looked happy when he played. A very sad loss from the music industry.

  • Nick Ceroli passed away at 45, Tonni Kalash at 63 , and Lou Pagani at 70.

    Nick Ceroli died rather young?
