My first test of the Tachyon XC Micro in time-lapse mode (2 minutes after receiving it). The camera takes a 640*480 photo approx every 2 seconds. This footage is 100 minutes of dusk. The camera alters the brightness of the photos automatically. This is evident in the last 20 seconds as it makes what was quite dark, almost light.
This was shot on a hot and humid evening with very light winds. Movie speed is approximately 360 times real time.

  • is it possible to do one with just windows movie maker, of pictures i mean. cause ive done couple of time lapses by taking a 1 hour video clip and then i just speed it up, but it takes so damn long time cause first i have to upload it from my video cam and then convert the video file. then you edit and then you save it and again it takes like half hours.

  • @BeppeOwnage - Moviemaker and many other video programs can speed up video (often only to 10 times) but time-lapse was taken in photo mode. I use QT Pro. It joins all the photos together and makes them frames in the movie. Moviemaker can't do that.

  • Hi...can you tell me what software you used to convert your images to the movie. Tks...Gary (Tachyon XC owner - Australia)

  • I use Quicktime pro (for windows). It is worth getting a life-time licence for QT. Very simple to use, using "image sequencer".
