  • i dont see why not, if anything it would sound better because its a 3.0 liter instead of a 2.5 liter.

  • i have a 95 bmw 325i and i want to put a cold air intake on in to make it faster. dose it work? and is their an other way to make it faster to accelorate faster,

    PLUS THAT SOUNDS AWSOOOOMMEEEE MAN

  • well i also cut off my catalytic converter and put magnaflows on it and thats increased my horsepower

  • yeah its raised the horsepower almost 10 i'd say its not a huge difference but you can definitely feel it.

  • if your horsepower was raised 10 by an air filter then i would take it to see a mechanic right away because you were previously using a cement block as a filter in your other intake

  • To be honest, no one does this for performance gains as much as they do it for the sound :)

the stock airbox already has good flow. just it's muffled. it's the intake manifold that limits things

  • An airfilter upgrade does change the note of the engine. I have put an induction kit on my E36 328is and it now screams at high revs. I have a video on here of mine of mine after at 4 mins they take out the airfilter you will notice the difference in sound. If you want to know what yours sounds like take out your air filter and go for a VERY SHORT drive this will give you an indication as to what an induction kit on your car sounds like!

  • Does anyone know if and air filter changes the engine note whatsoever? I have an RSX I was considering. Id like something that makes a lower pitch noise instead of that japp sowing machine redline crap. Im keeping the exhaust stock for now but would love to improve the engine compartment sound.

  • it wouldnt sound like this on a e36 m3 would it?

  • @AyashiFX55 Dude, the Signature Motoring performance cold air intake is the best option. Instead of a flimsy piece of plastic that leaves a huge gap for hot air intake by the fender and destroys half your possible gain, the Signature Motoring heat shield is a complete seal and made of steel. These things are gorgeous in design and appearance. Funnny thing is that the Signature Motoring kit is cheaper than most Chinese made plastic stuff out there. See signaturemotoring .

  • NEWSFLASH: That is a "hot air intake," not a cold air intake. See that big GAP between the fender? That is where all the hot engine bay air is being sucked in by the filter. You need to get yourself a real heat shield. See Signature Motoring dot com.

  • does anyone now if some performance cams from a 1993 325is fit a 1997 328is?? thanx guys!

  • @pacman2029 ya by like 2.5 AT THAT. not worth it. it can open up air flow a little bit, but completely does away with the volume engineered into the airbox, there is a reason its huge although without it, cam swaps are way easier.
