@junopiper Obviously you do nothing musically - any half decent musician would instantly see the musicality in what Tyler Fry does. His style of drumming not only has it's rightful place in pipe bands, it is the benchmark by which all modern tenor drumming is set. Not surprising to hear ignorance like that from a (probably crap) piper though.

He is a good tenor drummer but im 12 and i play the pipes and my name is tyler fry and 1 of the tenor drummers in my band always give my stick for this :S is still a really good tenor though :)

The flourishes are simply not in synch with the music, but that may well be due to the fact that the video is not in synch with the audio here. (I've noticed that to be the case with many other YouTube pipe band videos - a bit off from what's happening visually. Still, I don't get flourishing. It's almost like synchronized swimming, pointless and silly. TF has evidently made a living,"name and fame" with it, which kinda boggles the mind when you realize that he's not doing anything musically.

they actually are in time. they work really really well with the music the video is just behind with the music. because when i watch the video from my computer and not from youtube its different he is right on.
