The CineFiles - Star Wars: Episode Two - Return of the CineFiles

We continue our discussion on the Star Wars prequels at Brooklyn's awesome Gotham City Lounge. It took George Lucas 16 years to make another Star Wars movie and we discuss out initial reaction to the long-awaited The Phantom Menace. Then we get into a heated discussion on Attack of the Clones, and finally, conclude with Revenge of Sith.

They should have just hired these guys to host At the Movies after getting rid of the two Bens. The Cinefiles is the best movie review show since Siskel and Ebert.

When the Emperor was frying Luke, laughing at him one moment and hatefully scorning him the next, while his father watched inertly from the sidelines, trying to decide to whom his loyalty really lies - THAT was a powerful scene that gripped me emotionally.

But Mace Windu? Who the fuck is Mace Windu? I couldn't care less when he was getting whooped by Palpatine.

Dooku is Darth Tyrannus. Watch that Red Letter Media review of all the Star Wars and Star Trek films u will get a kick out of it. He nitpicks the plot holes, awesome!

ATTACK OF THE CLONES is coarse and rough and I don't like it. Did u notice the original 3 titles have to have the same amount of words as the titles of the prequels. Some kind of rhythm thing I guess?

Really enjoy your reviews you're pretty much bang on!

Have to say I enjoyed parts of Menace , hated Clones and the only one to me that gave me that "StarWars feeling" was Revenge Of The Sith.

Admitedly "Nooooooo" was pretty unforgivable but seeing Vader and a Star Destroyer and the Death Star was just too good!

Also enjoyed the final battle between Obi Wan and Anakin.

Hayden Christensen actually proved he can act. I mean he's not a great actor but he proved he can pull off roles pretty well.

and I read an Interview where he actually said he wanted to be good in the Star Wars films and not so wooden but guess what Lucas didn't let him make a good performance. Lucas told him exactly how to speak most of the lines so I think It was Lucas fault.

Great episode guys. I liked the prequels but they are monumentally dissapointing as hell. Phantom Menace isnt as bad as I remember. Attack of the Clones had a better plot but WORST EXECUTION!! Revenge of the Sith seemed closest to a real movie. And to me rivals Return of the Jedi. I had fun with em but you guys got good points.
