February 2001
In a small village near Tamale in northern Ghana, a group of men and women sit around in a semi-circle, discussing the chart they've drawn in the dust. The chart has three columns, showing the hours in the day, and the different tasks men and women undertake during those hours. It soon becomes clear that it's the women who undertake the most labour intensive work - fetching water and firewood, cleaning and preparing food - and the discovery sparks a lively debate about why the men can't take on more 'women's' work.

  • Nice video. Nice to here the women voice their opinions about the injustices they face. African women are they "key" to unlocking Africa's future.

  • @1Waddup LOL relax mate..religion is full of politics. If you want to follow deep, you might turn out to be the bad person.Muslims are simply practicing what was placed before their ancestors back in time.I'm sure we Christians would do the same thing today if the scriptures told our forefathers that killing was the path to heaven.LOL.I don't have to be a hypocrite to go to heaven.I need something,i talk to God in my room.As simple as that.Afterall God is my father, why talk to him somewhere else
