Why, just WHY do people dress-up as anime characters? I mean it's humiliating and they look NOTHING like others, I know I will get a thumb down because some idiot will do it because he thinks he looks EXACTLY like [insert his fave anime character here] and dress-up as him/her.

If I wanted to wear an anime costume I would've weared my OWN.

It's no different than Halloween. Sometimes it's just fun to be someone or something else for a day. Some people take it way too seriously, and some costumes are really bad, but it's largely just for fun, and conventions are about the only place people get the chance to do this.
