wtf do i have to do all this for to install a peer blocker? can i not just click download? I really don't understand ubuntu.

@TheyCallMeConfucious thanks for reply but it never updates i don't think they are adding new bad ip addresses all the time like peerblocker in windows which is updated every day so its useless.... :-(

what is the intention of the blocklist dchubad/pedophiles, i'm confused... why would you run through a pedophile's connection.. why would he run through yours.. what does it do... does this block pedobear? i'm confused...

@SHITONASTICK1100 I it just because the Linux geeks make you jump through (just a few) hoops to get it, until it is released as a package. I think now you can just goto your package manager and get it easily. But if you cant let me know and I will help you. All you need to do is copy and paste 3 lines into you Terminal. Real easy stuff, and it looks nice too! It blocks EVERYTHING!

Thanks Confucious! Your directions was exactly what I was looking for. While it took me a minute to figure out how to navigate the terminal UI (with the tabbing for navigation), it was well worth it!

@analyzingfunny i'm starting to get use to it slightly. it is a great operating system much faster and secure than windows and i have changed to it permanently . Although i can't get windows to work fully in virtual box.... the wireless doesn't work on it and it wont let me save files or anything. if u know anything about that id b happy : - )

doesn't include all the packages. Just change the source distribution to lucid instead of maveric for now.
