she must have been unhappy in her later years in carrying all that extra weight... i think she was hurting, still she brought a unique sound in music that moved us to tears and fun...

Hey Journey: The dawg has to call you on that inappropriate comment about her weight. Aside from the fact that Laura was one of the most beautiful souls that ever sweetened this earth, she was dying of ovarian cancer and the medications and the awful illness caused sever inflammation. Yet listen to that precious voice, even in all that pain and discomfort. She lives on forever in these beautiful tomes, just as your inappropriate comment will live on. Which would you prefer? Speak up people!

I didn't know she was such a big woman by this point in her life. Girl was packin junk in the trunk but hey, that's irrelevant. Talent and charm were all the same! Laura will always be missed. Fantastic talent and it's a damn shame the music biz was too much for her to handle and she had sporadic releases after 1973.
