ok i totally changed my opinion about opeth. i listened to their 2005 album and i really fell in love with that record!

this is a very spontanious cover (some timing problems inclusive). i just played it the 4th time but i think it is ok for youtube. i know some fills doesnt really match to the style of their music... im working on it :)

because of the 10 minutes -norm i had to cut the middle and the end -sorry!!

cheers

  • You have a great kit and you are a very good drummer, but you're correct about fills not matching the style... it feels like you're showing off a little bit in this song, especially during the slow part. One can clearly feel which parts are Opeth's and which are yours. I find the natural ability to make the drums fit the music more important than skills. Video is quite old so perhaps you have worked on it till now. Just take it easy :) All the best

  • I love coming back here every time I heard the song...this is like my music video!

  • great cymbal set up

  • This is a tight fucking cover man, tight as fuck, so what you made some mistakes, its a ten minute song with thousands of notes, the room for error is huge especially in a one take video. If I were to provide some constructive criticism however, i would say, just like pretty much everyone else here is saying in just a different way, that if you're going to drum a Martin Lopez track it's got to sound and feel like Lopez' style, the fill at 2:57 is clean as fuck, amazing, but its not Opeth at all.

  • freakin nice cover! tight as fuck!

  • great cover!!!!!!congratulations!!!!!
