Voyagers, DEMUs and HSTs seen from classic loactions between Teignmouth and Dawlish on the south Devon coast. At this time Virgin was in charge of Cross Country. Travelling in a Mark 3 coach to the west country was still a pleasure before First gave them the dreadful makeover they received a few years later. South west trains services now only run as far as Exeter. The film ends with a steam railtour. "The Staite Pullman" for the now late Bernard Staite then retiring special trains co ordinator of EWS, a name which is now also railway history. The train was hauled by 6024 King Edward I and 7802 Bradley Manor. Details about this train can be seen in my already uploaded film.
